History of Himachal Pradesh High Court
The judicial history of Himachal Pradesh started soon after India’s independence. Himachal Pradesh was formed on 15 April 1948 through the integration of several princely hill states and provinces. Later, the Central Government established the Court of Judicial Commissioner for Himachal Pradesh on 15 August 1948 under the Himachal Pradesh (Courts) Order, 1948.
